BUS VS CAR WITH ENTRAPTMENT ON 22 EAST IN P-BURG

     

Friday, December 16, 2011 At 1155 hours units from 94 rescue and fire were alerted to Rt 22 East at Firth st for a bus vs car. The duty crew went responding in ambulance 94-55 and went on the scene with two patients entrapped in the car and two walking wounded from the bus. Rt 22 west command was established by the crew and they requested an additional ambulance and the Heavy Rescue. The squad staffed two additional ambulances and the heavy rescue with 3. Captain 9450A took over the command and tools went to work on the two entrapped patients by the Rescue crew. The two patients from the bus were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The two trapped patients in the car were extricated under 15 min and one was transported to a trauma center and the other to a local hospital. Units cleared within the hour.
