ONE TRAPPED ON 519 IN POHATCONG

Thursday, February 10, 2011 12:56 The Ambulance & Heavy Rescue were alerted in front of 29 Rt 519 in Pohatcong Twps for the two car accident with injuries. Lieutenant Fagan went on the scene and established Warren Glen Command with two car mva one pt trapped and requesting a Med Evac. Heavy Rescue 94 arrived and went to work on the pt that was trapped and was assited by Rescue Engine 82. Crews extricated the pt within 15 and was handed over to the bls crew.  Other units that assisted was 75 Fire  witch handled the landing zone and 43 rescue who transported the other pt to warren. Units cleared within the hour.

   


 

FIRE IN THE STAR DOLLAR ON IRWIN ST.

Friday, February 4, 2011  At 0845 hours, 94 Fire & Rescue alone with Quint 82 were alerted to 194 Irwin St for the reported building fire. Engine 94-65 went on the scene with light smoke showing and went to work. Ouint 82 arrivedd and laddered the building other units operating were Engines 94-63,66,67 and Utility 94-74. Our squad responded with two Ambulances and the Heavy Rescue, Captain Fagan had Rescue Command. The fire started from a heater and had extension in the wall. Units cleared within the hour.

     



 

ICE RESCUE DRILL IN THE DELAWARE RIVER

Saturday, January 29, 2011 09:00 Members went on the road with the Heavy Rescue & the Ambulance to the Union Square boat launch between the Northhampton street bridge and the Rt. 22 toll bridge. Captain Fagan conducted the drill with shore based rescue and out in the icey water. The drill was good practice and learning for our members. The thickness of the ice that day was a foot thick, in other parts the ice could be broken with your hand. Rescue personnel operating on the ice were tied off to pickets on the shore. The drill concluded around noon.

     



 

SUV vs. TRUCK 94-69

Tuesday, December 28, 2010 16:07 Units were alerted to Stockton St. & Warren St. by Truck 94-69 that it was involved in an accident with an suv. Two Ambulances went responding and went on the scene with 5 possible patients. Another Ambulance responded out of the Alpha Station. The operator of Truck 94-69 was treated and transported to Warren Hospital by 94-53. The mother and infant were transported to Saint Lukes By 94-55. The Ambulance from the Alpha station was cleared with 2 patient RMA. All units were cleared within the hour.

     



 

APARMENT FIRE ON SOUTH MAIN

Tuesday, December 28, 2010 08:43 94 Fire & Rescue along with 82 Fire for their Quint  were alerted to 518 South Main Street for the Structure fire. Captain Vegh from Engine 6 went on the scene with a 3 story high occupancy strucure with smoke showing. Upon arrival of our Ambulance crew they staged side Alpha and requested another ambulance and our Heavy Rescue. Ambulances and our Rescue crew stood by while the engine crews put a quick knock on the fire. All units cleared within the hour.

   


 

Utility Truck Redone

Thursday, December 23, 2010  This Tuesday we sent our Utility Truck (94-58) out to get redone. We added striping down both sides of the truck and on the tailgate. Along with the striping we added Res94cue to the back and put new gold leaf numbers on the front of the truck along with black outlined numbers on the tailgate. We got rid of the volunteer lettering on the tailgate and also got rid of the gold crosses that used to be on the back. The truck came back today and they did a wonderful job on it and it looks amazing!

2011 Squad Elections

Sunday, December 12, 2010 1900 On Sunday December 12th we held our squad elections meeting. The elections for this meeting were not only for line officers but also for administrative positions as well. Along with the voting for all of the regular positions we are announcing the addition of 2 new officers position's that were voted on and they are sergeants spots. Just like Lieutenants we are having 2 sergeants as well to take over chief driver position's and just to help out all of the other officers throughout their term. We are pleased to announce the new 2011 Officers List.

Class held for new members

Saturday, December 11, 2010 0800 A Vehicle Rescue Basic class was held on Thursday December 9th as well as Saturday December 11th. This class was held to help teach new members and used as a refresher for senior members. Thursday's class was lecture while Saturday's class was hands on. Altogether there were 17 members that attended the class. The lecture was held at our squad building while the hands on class was held at Rossnagles. Our instructors for the class were from the Warren County Fire Academy. Everyone who attended the class said they had a great time and learned a lot. Thank you to the instructors, members and everyone else who had part in this for making this class a success. 
 

     



 

HOUSE FIRE IN ALPHA BORO

Monday, December 6, 2010 00:00 Ambulance & Heavy Rescue were alerted to 725 Fifth Ave for the reported house on fire with flames showing. Chief 82 went on the scene with a fully involved house fire. Upon arrival the Ambulance assisted the home owners and transported one adult female to the local hospital. The crew off the Heavy Rescue provided lighting, cascade and other equipment. Other Ambulance crews from our station provided rehab. The fire was brought under control within two hours. Units were cleared by 03:30.

     



 

APARTMENT FIRE IN THE VILLAGE ARMS COMPLEX

Wednesday, December 1, 2010  Just as the members finished up with class and started eating dinner, 94 Fire & Rescue were alerted to 500 Marshall St. for the apartement on fire.  Upon arrival the Heavy Rescue and Ambulance  entered the main drivway to the complex following the Engine and Tower. Units went on scene with a fire on the second floor. The Ambulance crew gathered there bls equipment and staged side alpha and the Heavy Rescue stood by with its crew and provided lighting. The rest of the ems units were staged outside of the complex. Units were cleared at 22:31.
