Squad adds Survey to better serve our citizens and community

Dear Neighbor,
We recently answered your call for help. Our mission is to provide the best possible service and care in answering emergency requests for our community. In an effort to continually improve upon our professional services, we are conducting a survey. We would appreciate a few minutes of your time to complete the enclosed survey.
The Phillipsburg Emergency Squad was formed in 1936 when a group of residents saw the need to help out the community by providing ambulance services for the Town of Phillipsburg and the surrounding area, including Pohatcong Township and Alpha Boro. Over the years due to an increase in the number of calls, over 2400 in 2011, and changes in the community, like the loss of our members who would leave their shift at Ingersoll Rand to provide day time emergency coverage.
In 2011, the Phillipsburg Emergency Squad renewed our commitment to ensure coverage 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and put on a paid crew to promptly answer emergency calls Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Unpaid volunteers provide the rest of our 24-hours per day 7-days per week coverage. These dedicated men and women also provide coverage for additional services needed including rescue services and answering emergency calls when the paid duty crew is already caring for a patient.
The funding for the Phillipsburg Emergency Squad comes from the generous donations of the people and towns we serve. Another source of our funding comes from 3rd party billing to the insurance providers of the patients we transport, our billing agent is Ambulance Reimbursement Systems inc.
As always we are a non-profit organization ready to answer the call for help and we are mainly staffed by volunteers.
If you have any questions, would like more information, or would like to volunteer, please call 908-859-5218. For any billing issues please speak with our squad's president or vice president. If you have any issues regarding the services our crew provided to you or a loved one, please ask for the Chief or Captain.

FROM THE ENTIRE PHILLIPSBURG EMERGENCY SQUAD THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND COMMENTS SO WE CAN BEST SERVE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY IN THE FUTURE.

The following will go out in the mail to all of our patients as well as a survey. ...
